Atlanta - Day 0

Ever since we moved back to the USA 13 years ago, we've been talking about going back to Switzerland to visit and to show our kids the country we loved living in so much. It's finally time and here we are - starting in London and gradually moving eastward until we hit Switzerland. Since Switzerland is what inspired me to start an blog in the first place, I thought it was fitting to bring it back for this trip!

We headed to the airport on Sunday afternoon and I got to experience the International Terminal for the first timr. Tom got us into the Delta lounge and the kids (especially Elizabeth) enjoyed getting all the food and drinks they wanted.

She looooved the lemonade station.

We then flew overnight to Heathrow. I'm now at the age where (attempting to) sleep on a plane caused a pulled muscle in my ankle - always new experiences to be had! Andrew managed 4 hours of sleep, but the rest of us were not so lucky. We were all happy to land at 1am our time and start our adventure.

His successful setup.

I was a human pillow until the cabin light dinged and woke her up for good.

They only appear to be sleeping. I'm not sure E was ever still long enough to actually fall asleep.

🇬🇧 Hello London! 🇬🇧
