We started our daybright and early in London with a Tube ride. So many locals helped the littles with their luggage on the many stairs we had to navigate - I was so impressed and thankful! We made it to the apartment and had a quick rest before setting out.
First Tube ride!
Elizabeth loves finding her name everywhere.
Gorgeous buildings (and hoards of people) everywhere we go. I feel like I'm living a history book with each new sight I see.
Big Ben and Parliament from Westminster Bridge.
How does one even have words (and how can photos come close to doing justice) for Westminster Abbey? Beautifully intricate and detailed work is present everywhere you look.
A young husband trying in vain to protect his wife, who had just delivered, from Death.
The London Eye! We considered riding it, but the line was crazy and the prices were very high, so we just enjoyed looking at it.
Letting the kids do kid things.
Chasing the pigeons has been one of Carolyn and Elizabeth's favorite things.
We took a boat ride on the Thames down river to Greenwich. I may have snuck in a nap while we traveled...
The boat got chilly🌬
Ice cream makes jet lag feel better,
We visited the Maritime Museum in Greenwich. These two found the playground and joyfully skipped the museum in lieu of play.
I enjoyed the pretty shaded sitting area at the playground.
We climbed the steep hill up to the Royal Observatory and were rewarded with a nice view of downtown.
Greenwich Mean Time - the Prime Meridian was right behind the fence.
A bit of deliciousness Tom found down the street from our Charing Cross apartment while picking up Indian for our dinner after the kids crashed.
Elizabeth's step count for the day. 😳
